Louisville, KY (Sports Network) – Taquan Dean scored 19 points, pulled down
six boards and dished out four assists to lead 10th-ranked Louisville over
Fairleigh Dickinson, 89-66, at Freedom Hall.

Brandon Jenkins added 17 points for the Cardinals (10-1), who won for the 13th
consecutive time at Freedom Hall, including all 10 games there this season.
Louisville’s only loss this season came on the road, a 73-61 defeat at

David Padgett chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds, while Juan Palacios
also finished with 13 points and seven boards in the win.

Andrea Crosariol netted 21 points with six rebounds for the Knights (5-6), who
lost for the fourth game in a row. Chad Timberlake added 11 points, while
Andre Harris added 10.

Louisville opened up the game on a 6-0 run, with the last four points scored
by Padgett, and later used an 8-0 run to take a 19-7 edge with 8:17 left in
the first half.

Jenkins’ dunk staked the Cardinals to a 29-15 advantage with just over four
minutes remaining before intermission, and Louisville closed out the half
scoring six straight points to hold a 37-20 lead at halftime.

The Knights never threatened in the second half, falling behind 53-30 with
13:23 left. A Perrin Johnson basket later on extended the Cardinals to a
comfortable 68-39 lead with just over nine minutes remaining.

Jordan Ingram’s layup pulled Fairleigh Dickinson to within 20 at 68-48, but
two straight layups by Jonathan Huffman later in the game gave Louisville an
86-58 advantage with 1:35 remaining.

Dean surpassed 1,300 points for his career…Fairleigh Dickinson shot 42
percent from the floor while Louisville shot a 43 percent clip…The Cardinals
had 14 steals in the game…The Knights shot just 15 percent from behind the
arc (2-of-13) to the Cardinals’ 42 percent (11-of-26)…Huffman ended with
