Champaign, IL (Sports Network) – Rich McBride had 21 points on 7-of-10
shooting from three-point range to lead sixth-ranked Illinois past Tennessee-
Martin, 84-46, at Assembly Hall.

James Augustine added 19 points and became the Illini’s all-time leading
rebounder after pulling down 11 boards in the win. Jamar Smith added 11 points
for Illinois (14-0), which extended the nation’s third-longest home winning
streak to 29 games, including an 8-0 effort so far this season.

Jared Newson had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Skyhawks (5-5), who have
lost three games in a row. Jason Thompson netted 11 points in the loss.

Illinois shot 53 percent from the floor on 33-of-62 shooting while limiting
Tennessee-Martin to just 31 percent (17-of-55) from the floor, the lowest
shooting percentage allowed by the Illini this season.

Augustine now has 854 rebounds for his career.
