Duke keeps top spot in latest poll

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Duke kept its hold on the top spot in the
latest Associated Press college basketball rankings, while Pittsburgh and
Arizona climbed back into the poll.

The Blue Devils (12-0) have been atop the poll for nine straight weeks after
pounding North Carolina-Greensboro in their only game of the week. Duke earned
63 first-place votes and 1,789 points from a nationwide media panel this week.

Connecticut (11-0), Villanova (9-0), Memphis (11-1) and Florida (12-0) rounded
out the top five of the poll. Illinois, Michigan State, Gonzaga, Louisville
and Washington closed out the top 10.

Boston College moved up to No. 11 and was followed by Oklahoma, North Carolina
State, Maryland, Texas, Indiana, UCLA, Ohio State, Kentucky and George

The last five spots are occupied by Arizona, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, West
Virginia and North Carolina.

Wisconsin and Nevada made exits from the Top 25 poll this week.
