10 rebounds and blocked six shots to lead the No. 4 Connecticut Huskies over
the 25th-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats, 70-59, at the Hartford Civic Center.
Denham Brown, Rudy Gay and Marcus Williams scored 11 points apiece for UConn
(13-1, 1-1 Big East), which won its second straight game since losing at
Marquette on January 3rd. James White led all scorers with 18 points and Eric
Hicks and Armein Kirkland each added 14 for Cincinnati (13-3, 2-1), which had

Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) – Adam Morrison continued his brilliant
season with 34 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead sixth-ranked
Gonzaga past Santa Clara, 81-68, at the Leavey Center. Morrison was 12-of-20
from the floor, while Derek Raivio chipped in 18 points for Gonzaga (12-3,
2-0 WCC), which has won three straight and eight of its last nine games.
J.P. Batista had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Travis Niesen paced
Santa Clara with 22 points and six rebounds. Brody Angley added 14 points and
Mitch Henke chipped in 12 for the Broncos (8-6, 1-1), who had their three-game
winning streak halted.

Ames, IA (Sports Network) – Kenton Paulino scored a game-high 20 points to
lead eighth-ranked Texas to a 78-58 win over Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum.
Daniel Gibson had 19 points and seven rebounds for the Longhorns (13-2, 2-0
Big 12), who have won five straight games. P.J. Tucker finished with 17 points
and seven boards in the win. Rahshon Clark led Iowa State with 18 points. Will
Blalock scored 17 points for the Cyclones (11-4, 1-1), who had a five-game
winning streak come to an end.

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) – Brandon Jenkins poured in a game-high 31
points to lead 10th-ranked Louisville to an 81-58 win over UC-Davis at Freedom
Hall. Jenkins made 11-of-13 shots, including a 7-for-9 clip from beyond the
arc, as the Cardinals (13-2) posted their second straight victory after losing
to Villanova last week. David Padgett contributed 14 points for Louisville.
The Cardinals played without senior guard Taquan Dean (ankle) and freshman
forward Chad Millard (stomach virus). Kyle Brucculeri paced UC-Davis (4-10)
with 15 points and eight rebounds. Jesse Lopez and Phil Rasmussen both had 12
points in the loss — the Aggies’ third in four games.
