No. 10 Huskies rout Oregon

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – Jamaal Williams poured in 20 points and had six
rebounds as the tenth-ranked Washington Huskies cruised past the Oregon Ducks,
78-59, at Bank of America Arena.

Brandon Roy chipped in 20 points and dished out six assists for the Huskies
(16-2, 5-2 Pac-10), who have won four games in a row.

Bobby Jones donated 15 points in the victory.

Malik Hairston scored 17 points and grabbed six boards for the Ducks (10-9,
4-3), who saw a three-game winning streak come to an end.

Brandon Lincoln netted 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field in defeat.

Washington ended the opening half on a 11-3 surge to head into the locker room
up 39-27.

Roy had a solid opening 20 minutes with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the
field. He was also a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

The Huskies opened the second half with a 9-4 spurt to go up 48-31. Jones
contributed five points during the stretch, including a three-pointer.

With 10:51 remaining in the second half, Ryan Appleby hit a trey to put
Washington up 21 points at 60-39.

Jon Brockman put in a layup with just under four minutes to play for a 70-55
advantage. The forward ended the game with 10 rebounds.

The Huskies outscored the Ducks 39-32 in the second half of play.

Game Notes

Washington improved to 13-2 at home this season…Oregon dropped to 1-6 on the
road…The Huskies lead the all-time series at 176-99…Washington shot 52
percent from the field while the Ducks shot 39 percent…The Huskies went to
the charity stripe a season-low six times, but hit all six attempts.
