Badgers’ Landry academically ineligible
Madison, WI (Sports Network) – Wisconsin Badgers freshman forward Marcus
Landry is academically ineligible to compete for the second semester.
Landry appeared in all 16 games for Wisconsin, averaging 6.0 points and 3.1
rebounds in 15.4 minutes.
“I do have a slight disability and it’s being worked on as we speak,” Landry
said. “I was going through a process that every student is allowed to go
through with my professors. It hurts me and I know it hurts my teammates. But
we’re all in this together and we’re all going to be strong and they’re going
to finish out this year with a good year.
“I’m looking forward to helping my team in any way that I can while I’m not
playing. I’m here and I’m not going to stop fighting, I’m not going to stop
working. I’m going to move forward and I’m going to do my best to succeed in
Landry cannot participate in games or travel with the team but can practice
with the team at home.
