Cardinal enter Thursday’s game all banged up

Palo Alto, CA (Sports Network) – The Stanford Cardinal (8-7, 4-3 Pac-10) head
into Thursday’s matchup with the Washington State Cougars (9-7, 2-5) riddled
by injuries to several key players.

Senior guard Chris Hernandez is questionable after missing the entire week of
practice with back spasms. If Hernandez were to sit, the Cardinal would be
without a strong scoring option (12.5 ppg) and their team leader in steals
(1.13 pg).

In addition to Hernandez, sophomore center and key reserve Peter Prowitt is
doubtful with a spinal bruise in his lower back.

The Cougars will also be impacted by injury and will be without guard Derrick
Low, who has missed the past five games with a broken foot. Prior to the
injury, Low had started all 11 games and was second on the team in points and
assists.
