Missouri’s Snyder resigns
Columbia, MO (Sports Network) – Missouri head basketball coach Quin Snyder
resigned his position, effective immediately.
According to a report by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Snyder told his team he
was quitting on Friday afternoon.
Associate head coach Melvin Watkins, a former head coach at Charlotte and
Kansas State, will take over for the Tigers during the rest of the season.
The Tigers are in the midst of a six-game losing streak and are in 11th place
in the Big 12 Conference.
Snyder, who played his college ball at Duke and was an assistant under Mike
Krzyzewski, had 20-win seasons in three of his first four years at the helm,
