Arizona reinstates Rodgers
Tucson, AZ (Sports Network) – Arizona coach Lute Olson announced that senior
Chris Rodgers has been reinstated to the team on Monday.
Olson dismissed the guard on January 18 for undisclosed disciplinary reasons.
“He’s fulfilled the various responsibilities that had been set up for him to
get back,” said Olson. “I visited with all of the guys individually today to
discuss that situation and they are all very much in favor of him being back
on the floor.”
The 6-foot-4 guard from Portland, OR has played in 16 games for the
Wildcats (10-6, 3-2 Pac-10) and was the teams third-leading scorer, averaging
10.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game before the dismissal.
