No. 3 Memphis crushes Tulane

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – Rodney Carney scored 24 points as third-
ranked Memphis downed Tulane, 105-65, at Fogelman Arena.

Darius Washington netted 15 points for the Tigers (24-2, 10-0 C-USA), who have
won 13 straight games. Chris Douglas-Roberts posted 13 points and seven
rebounds, while Antonio Anderson added 12 points. Kareem Cooper added nine
points and seven boards for Memphis.

Quincy Davis notched 19 points and seven rebounds for Tulane (9-15, 4-7),
which has lost three straight. David Gomez scored 14 points, while Kory
Castine and Donnie Stith added eight points apiece.

The Tigers started the game on a 24-9 run capped by a layup by Carney with
13:38 left. Memphis led 53-33 at halftime.

The Tigers went on a 30-12 run to open the second half, capped by a Joey
Dorsey slam, and took a 83-45 lead heading down the stretch. A Clyde Wade
layup with 3:11 remaining gave Memphis its largest lead of the game, 43
points, at 100-57.

Memphis shot 10-of-15 from beyond the arc compared to 1-of-9 by Tulane.

The Tigers outscored Tulane 36-6 in fastbreak points and 30-10 in points
scored off of turnovers.

Game Notes

Memphis has yet to lose on the road this season, going 10-0, including a
perfect 6-0 against C-USA foes…Tulane is 6-3 thus far at home…With regard
to the all-time series between these two schools, Memphis owns a commanding
33-9 advantage and the Tigers have won the last 10 meetings.
