Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) – Dante Cunningham slipped free on an inbounds
play and converted a layup with 3.2 seconds remaining, as second-ranked
Villanova sneaked past Cincinnati, 74-72, at a jam-packed Fifth Third Arena.
Cunningham rolled off a screen and received the inbounds pass from Allan Ray.
The forward’s bucket pushed the Wildcats in front by two and Eric Hicks
missed a game-winning three-point attempt from the top of the circle at the
buzzer. With the win, the Wildcats (22-2, 12-1 Big East) won their 11th
straight game. The Wildcats received normal contributions from Randy Foye
with 25 points and an astounding 14 rebounds from the guard position and Ray
with 19 points, but Kyle Lowry scored just 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting and
Mike Nardi netted nine points on 4-of-11 from the floor. Hicks posted 21
points and nine boards while Chadd Moore added 14 points for the Bearcats
(18-10, 7-7). Devan Downey and Jihad Muhammad donated 13 and 12 points,
respectively, in the loss.

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – Brandon Roy scored 23 points and added seven
assists and six rebounds to lead the 17th-ranked Washington Huskies past the
Stanford Cardinal, 75-57, at Bank of America Arena. Mike Jensen had a
career-high 18 points on 6-of-8 three-point shooting and Jamaal Williams
added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Huskies (21-5, 10-5 Pac 10), who
are on a five-game winning streak. Matt Haryasz had 10 points and nine
rebounds and Peter Prowitt added 10 points and five boards in the loss for
the Cardinal (13-11, 9-6), who have lost two straight and four of their last
five games.

Westwood, CA (Sports Network) – Jordan Farmar scored 21 points, as 19th-ranked
UCLA used an explosive second half to post a 78-60 victory over Oregon State
in Pac 10 action from Pauley Pavilion. Arron Afflalo netted 20 points for the
Bruins (21-6, 11-4 Pac 10), who snapped a two-game slide and won for the sixth
time in their last eight games. Nick DeWitz scored 14 points for the Beavers
(11-16, 4-12), who have now lost eight of their last nine games overall.
Marcel Jones contributed 12 points while Jason Fontenet added 10 in the losing
