Stanford, CA (Sports Network) – Arron Afflalo poured in 16 points to lead
15th-ranked UCLA to an easy 75-54 win over Stanford at Maples Pavilion.
With the win, the Bruins claimed the Pac-10 regular season title for the first
time in nine years.

Jordan Farmar added 13 points and seven assists for the Bruins (24-6, 14-4
Pac-10), who won their fourth consecutive game. Ryan Hollins also chipped in
with 13 points and added eight rebounds while Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 12
points and nine boards in the win.

Dan Grunfeld paced Stanford (15-12, 11-7), which lost for the first time in
three games, with 14 points. Anthony Goods netted 12 points for the Cardinal
in the loss.

UCLA establish control from the start. Afflalo’s triple with around 9 1/2
minutes left in the first half gave the Bruins a 10-point cushion, 19-9.

Mbah a Moute’s lay-in with a second left in the half, gave UCLA its biggest
lead in the opening frame, 38-24.

The Bruins continued to pour it on after intermission. With the score 53-44,
UCLA went on a 14-2 flurry to put things away.

Mbah a Moute started things with a layup and Afflalo finishing the burst with
a four-point play. The sophomore forward buried a triple as he was fouled and
nailed the ensuing free throw to make the score 67-46 with just 5:51

The Bruins cruised the rest of the way for an easy victory.

Game Notes

Stanford is 10-3 at home this season while UCLA is 8-2 on the road…UCLA now
leads the all-time series, 126-88…The Bruins were 8-for-17 from long range
while Stanford was 5-of-9…Stanford had 15 turnovers to just seven for UCLA.
