Gators pound Panthers, advance to Sweet 16

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) – Corey Brewer poured in 23 points to lead
Florida to an easy 82-60 win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the second round of
the Minneapolis Bracket at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Joakim Noah added 17 points and seven rebounds for the third-seeded Gators
(29-6), who bested the South Alabama Jaguars in the first round of the tourney
and have now won seven straight games. Florida now moves on to the Sweet 16
where they will face the winner of the Georgetown/Ohio State tilt next week.
Al Horford chipped in with 13 points in the win.

Adrian Tigert had a game-high 27 points and eight boards for the 11th-seeded
Panthers (22-9),who dropped Oklahoma in their tourney opener. Boo Davis was
the only other Wisonsin-Milwaukee player in double figures with 10 points in
the loss.

After a solid but unspectacular first half Florida dominated the final frame.
The Gators superior size seemed to bother the upstart Panthers as Florida
coasted to the easy victory.
