Darrel Mitchell’s late three boosts LSU past Texas A&M

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) – Darrel Mitchell scored 16 points and
connected on a long three-pointer with just 3.9 seconds remaining to lead LSU
to a thrilling 58-57 win over Texas A&M in the second round of the Atlanta
Bracket of the NCAA Tournament.

Glen Davis added a game-high 21 points for the fourth-seeded Tigers (25-8),
who bested Iona in the first round and will now move on to the Sweet 16 to
face top seed Duke on Thursday in Atlanta.

Acie Law recorded 15 points for the 12th-seeded Aggies (22-9), who were coming
off their first NCAA Tournament win in 26 years after defeating Syracuse in
the first round. Antanas Kavaliauskas chipped in 12 points in the loss.
