Rondo leaving Kentucky for NBA
Lexington, KY (Sports Network) – Kentucky guard Rajon Rondo is foregoing is
final season of collegiate eligibility to enter the NBA Draft.
Rondo, who is hiring an agent, led the Wildcats in points, rebounds, assists
and steals last season. He averaged 11.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and
2.0 steals in 34 games.
“I can tell you unequivocally that I don’t think I’ve ever coached a better
athlete or a more talented basketball player in my entire life, so I can tell
you that he’s going to be sorely missed,” said Kentucky head coach Tubby
The NBA Draft will be held on June 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
