East Tennessee State guard lost for season
Johnson City, TN (Sports Network) – East Tennessee State senior guard Travis
Strong will be lost for the upcoming season, following surgery to repair a
torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Strong suffered the ACL tear last Saturday and received an MRI on Monday.
However, the extent of the injury was not confirmed until Strong went under
the knife on Friday.
Strong finished fifth on the Bucs with 10.4 points per game in 2005-2006. He
will apply for a medical redshirt for this season. If granted, he will be
eligible to return to action in 2007-2008.
