Delaware suspends Cannon two games

Newark, DE (Sports Network) – The University of Delaware suspended senior
guard Calvin Cannon on Monday.

Cannon will miss two games for a violation of team policy, according to head
coach Monte Ross. The suspension covers the Blue Hens’ season opener against
Marist on November 14 and a contest at Albany three days later.

Cannon played in all 30 games last season for Delaware, starting 15. The Blue
Hen’s 6-3 guard, who transferred from Palm Beach Community College, averaged
nine points per game and is the team’s leading returning scorer. He ranked
eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association with 1.97 three-pointers made per
game and was 13th with a 34.1 three-point field goal percentage.

Cannon is eligible to return on November 21 when Delaware plays host to Rider.
