Temple C Marshall to sit out season

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – Temple University center Wayne Marshall
will miss the upcoming season to concentrate on academics and recover from
dizzy spells that plagued him last year.

The senior had already been declared ineligible for the fall semester.

“We are supportive of Wayne’s decision and hope that he is able to come back
next season healthy and academically sound,” said Temple coach Fran Dunphy.

Marshall, a 6-11, 285-pound center, averaged 7.2 points and 4.0 rebounds in 24
games (17 starts) last year. The Philadelphia native also ranked second on the
team with 22 blocked shots.
