Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) – The top-ranked Florida Gators matched a
school record with their 17th straight win, rolling over Western Kentucky,
101-68, in the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational from Orleans Arena.
The Gators (6-0) led by 35 at one point and had six players in double figures,
with Corey Brewer leading the way. He netted a team-high 22 points while
contributing nine rebounds and seven assists and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the
free throw line. Taurean Green donated 17 points and had six boards for
Florida, and hit 3-of-3 from beyond the three-point arc. Al Horford had a
double-double, scoring 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, while Lee
Humphrey, Joakim Noah and Chris Richard scored 10 points apiece. Courtney Lee
had 16 points for the Hilltoppers (4-1). Benson Callier added 15 points and

second-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels downed the 22nd-ranked Tennessee
Volunteers, 101-87, in the consolation game of the NIT Season Tip- Off.
Brandan Wright had 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds
for the Tar Heels (4-1), who were outplayed by a hard-working Gonzaga team on
Wednesday. That 82-74 setback marked the first loss of the season for the
Heels. JeJuan Smith and Chris Lofton both had 18 points for the Volunteers
(4-2), who lost 56-44 to Butler in the semifinals. Wayne Chism added 12 points
in defeat.

scoring attack with 17 points as the third-ranked Panthers pummeled Florida
State, 88-66, to claim the Colonial Classic championship. Mike Cook had 15
points to go along with nine assists for the Panthers (6-0), who shot a
sizzling 62.5 percent from the floor, including 8-of-11 from three point
range. Ronald Ramon had 12 points and Tyrell Biggs added 11 for Pittsburgh,
which had five players in double figures. Toney Douglas scored a game-high 23
points for the Seminoles (4-1), who were off to a 4-0 start for the second
time in the past five years.

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) – Ivan Harris netted 19 points as the fourth-
ranked Ohio State Buckeyes cruised past the Youngstown State Penguins, 91-57,
at Nationwide Arena. Freshmen Daequan Cook poured in 17 points and ripped down
11 rebounds for the Buckeyes (6-0), who remain unbeaten on the season. Ron
Lewis added 16 points in the victory. Ohio State is still without the highly-
touted seven-footer Greg Oden, who has yet to play this season after
undergoing wrist surgery in the summer. John Barber scored 16 points for the
Penguins (2-4), who have dropped four of their last five games. Quin Humphrey
added 15 points and Keston Roberts donated 11.

South Padre Island, TX (Sports Network) – Blake Ahearn scored 25 points, as
Missouri State upset seventh-ranked Wisconsin, 66-64, in the semifinals of the
South Padre Island Invitational. The Bears (4-0), who blew a 19-point lead,
survived at the end when Alando Tucker missed a three-point shot from the
right corner at the buzzer denying Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan his 500th career
victory. Deven Mitchell added 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for
Missouri State, which took a shocking 45-32 lead in the opening half by
shooting 14-of-22 from the field. The Bears then held on against a team
that went a woeful 2-of-15 from three-point range. Tucker ended with 26
points and Michael Flowers tallied 10 for Wisconsin (4-1), which struggled
by shooting 39.3 percent.

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) – Mario Chalmers netted a team-high 13 points
to lead 10th-ranked Kansas past Ball State, 64-46, at Orleans Arena in the
third round of the Las Vegas Invitational. Brandon Rush donated 11 points
while Russell Robinson netted 10 for the Jayhawks (4-1). Kansas defeated
Towson and most recently Tennessee State on Tuesday. Sophomore Anthony
Newell scored 15 points and had nine boards, and Julien Mills added 13
for the Cardinals (2-2), who defeated Northern Colorado and Prairie View
A&M before suffering a 70-55 loss on Tuesday at home against Chattanooga.

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – Justin Dentmon scored 23 points as 16th-ranked
Washington beat Eastern Washington, 90-83, in a surprisingly close contest.
Dentmon shot 7-of-12 from the floor and went 8-for-8 from the free throw line
for the Huskies (5-0), who have won 19 consecutive regular season non-
conference games. Quincy Pondexter scored 15 points and pulled down
eight rebounds for Washington, while Adrian Oliver had 14 points and nine
boards. Rodney Stuckey poured in a game-high 31 points for the Eagles (2-3),
who went 7-of-29 from beyond the arc.

College Park, MD (Sports Network) – Ekene Ibekwe scored 16 points to lead a
balanced Maryland attack as the 25th-ranked Terrapins easily bested High
Point, 81-63, at the Comcast Center. James Gist added 15 points on 7-of-12
shooting and eight rebounds for Maryland (7-0), who won their second straight
since capturing the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic. D.J. Strawberry also
had 15 points while Greivis Vasquez added 11 for the Terrapins. Arizona Reid
dropped in a game-high 19 points but turned the ball over six times for the
Panthers (3-3), who fell to 2-22 all-time against ACC foes.
