Tucker guides Wisconsin past Seminoles

Madison, WI (Sports Network) – Alando Tucker poured in 22 points to lead 12th-
ranked Wisconsin past Florida State, 81-66, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at
Kohl Center.

Kammron Taylor scored 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 3-of-4 from three-point
range while Brian Butch contributed 13 for the Badgers (6-1), who have won two
straight since their two-point loss to Missouri State last Friday.

Joe Krabbenhoft had seven points and six rebounds in the win.

Wisconsin shot 49 percent from the floor.

Toney Douglas scored a game-high 24 points on 11-of-20 from the field for the
Seminoles (4-2), who trailed the entire game.

Jason Rich added 12 points and Al Thornton finished with 10 in defeat.

Wisconsin went on a 9-0 run early in the first half, capped by a Tucker dunk,
but Florida State cut its deficit to 19-15 on Douglas’ layup with 6:20
remaining. However, two free throws by Jason Bohannon coupled with Tucker’s
trey put the Badgers up by nine moments later.

Wisconsin ended the frame with an 11-point edge, 34-23 when Butch tipped in
Tucker’s missed three-point attempt as time expired.

It was all Badgers in the second half as they opened up a commanding 20-point
advantage on a 21-12 burst. Taylor netted eight points and Krabbenhoft had
seven to lead the charge.

The Seminoles could get only as close as 14 when Uche Echefu drained a layup
with 3:01 left in regulation.
