Vols clip Cowboys in final seconds

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) – Dane Bradshaw tipped in the game-winning
shot with 1.9 seconds left, as the Tennessee Volunteers upset the 15th-ranked
Oklahoma State Cowboys, 79-77.

With the game deadlocked at 77, Bradshaw followed a missed layup attempt with
a one-hand tip shot.

OSU had a final opportunity to inbound the ball the length of the court for a
game-winner. Byron Eaton heaved it to Mario Boggan, who caught the ball at the
foul line, took a step back, and fired a jumper at the buzzer that rimmed out
to preserve the win for the Vols.

Chris Lofton scored 20 points for the Volunteers (9-2), who have now posted
five consecutive victories, and both of their losses came against quality
teams on a neutral court. Duke Crews scored a career-high 17 points and
grabbed nine rebounds, while JaJuan Smith added 14 points.

Boggan posted 20 points and six boards for Oklahoma State (11-1), which
had started the season with 11 consecutive wins for just the fifth time in
school history before falling to Tennessee. Terrel Harris notched 17 points
and seven rebounds. JamesOn Curry scored 13 points and Kenny Cooper added 11.

Oklahoma State shot 15-for-29 (51.7 percent) from the field in the first half
to take a 43-37 halftime lead. Tennessee shot 28-for-67 (41.8 percent) in the
game and outrebounded the Cowboys, 37-35. However, the Vols went just 4-of-23
from beyond the arc.
