Wisconsin cruises past Gardner-Webb

Madison, WI (Sports Network) – Brian Butch scored 17 points and grabbed 12
rebounds as fourth-ranked Wisconsin crushed Gardner-Webb, 98-40.

Kammron Taylor posted 13 points and dished out five assists while Alando
Tucker netted 11 points for the Badgers (13-1), who have won nine consecutive

Jason Bohannon added 10 points and five boards in the blow-out win.

Wisconsin finished a sizzling 59 percent shooting from the floor and 60
percent from three-point range.

Ricky McPhee led the Runnin’ Bulldogs (2-9) with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting
and Thomas Sanders donated nine points in defeat.

The Badgers thoroughly dominated Gardner-Webb the entire game. They built up a
commanding 52-19 first-half advantage and ran away with it in the second half
en route to an impressive 58-point victory.

Game Notes

The game marked the first-ever meeting between the two schools…Gardner-Webb
shot 31 percent from the field and just 22 percent from beyond the arc.
