Egerson leaves Georgetown
Washington, DC (Sports Network) – Georgetown University men’s basketball
coach John Thompson III announced Thursday that sophomore forward Marc Egerson
has withdrawn from the university.
Egerson played in 13 games this season, three of which were starts, and
averaged 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He appeared in 34 games in two
years at Georgetown, posting 3.4 ppg and 2.3 rpg.
“Marc will be leaving Georgetown for personal reasons,” Thompson said. “We
respect his decision, understand that the University is not a perfect fit for
every individual and appreciate the contributions he made while he was here.
We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
