25th-ranked Wildcats crush Gamecocks

Columbia, SC (Sports Network) – Joe Crawford poured in 23 points as the 25th-
ranked Kentucky Wildcats crushed the South Carolina Gamecocks, 87-49, at the
Colonial Center.

Randolph Morris scored 17 points and added 11 rebounds while Ramel Bradley
contributed 15 points and six assists for the Wildcats (15-3, 4-0 SEC), who
have posted 11 consecutive victories and are riding the nation’s fifth-longest
win streak.

Tre’ Kelley had 19 points while Evaldus Baniulis added eight points and six
rebounds for the Gamecocks (10-6, 0-3), who have dropped their past four

The Wildcats held a considerable lead throughout much of the first half, but
consecutive three-pointers by the Gamecocks made it a 30-25 game, Kentucky
advantage, with 2:35 left in the first.

Kentucky ended the half with a 7-2 run and took a 37-27 lead into the locker

Kelley’s three-pointer early in the second half got South Carolina to within
39-30, but Kentucky scored the next 10 points and Bradley’s trey made it a
49-30 contest just 3:15 in.

That proved to be the back-breaker in the contest as the Wildcats continued to
build their lead throughout the remainder of the second half

three SEC games by a combined 96 points…Kentucky shot a scorching 63 percent
