East foe Connecticut, 63-54. Ronald Ramon went 4-for-4 from three-point
range and finished with 17 points for the Panthers (17-2, 5-0 Big East),
who have won seven straight and improved to 12-0 at home this season. Jeff
Adrien had 13 points and seven boards while Jerome Dyson added 11 points and
five boards for the Huskies (13-4, 2-3), who have dropped three of their last
four contests.

105-103 victory over No. 21 Texas from Gallagher-Iba Arena. The final three-
plus seconds included a walk and an in-bound formality, capping a game
featuring clutch shooting, massive momentum swings and Cowboys head coach Sean
Sutton almost fainting at the end of regulation. If he only knew 15 more
minutes were in store. Kevin Durant, who tied a career-high with 37 points,
collected an air ball and scored off the glass while being fouled with 10.5
ticks remaining in the third overtime. He drained the foul shot to push Texas
in front, 103-102.

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – Luke Nevill posted a double-double with
18 points and 10 rebounds, as Utah picked up its first victory of the new year
and snapped No.13 Air Force’s 13-game winning streak in the process with an
85-79 decision at the Huntsman Center. Johnnie Bryant scored 18 points, Shaun
Green tallied 15 points and Ricky Johns donated 14 for the Utes (6-12, 1-4
MWC), who won for the first time since routing Virginia, 94-70, on
December 20. They had lost six straight games since that victory. Air Force
entered the Huntsman Center flying on the opposite side of the spectrum,
winners of 13 in a row since a loss to Duke in Kansas City. Jacob Burtschi
scored 21 points and Dan Nwaelele posted 20 for the Falcons (17-2, 4-1), who
