No. 18 Butler routs UW-Green Bay
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) – A.J. Graves had a game-high 28 points as
18th-ranked Butler hammered University of Wisconsin-Green Bay 80-59, at Hinkle
Graves was 7-of-15 from the field, including 5-of-8 from three-point distance.
He was also a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line.
Pete Campbell added 14 points, while Brandon Crone contributed 13 points for
Butler (17-2, 5-1 Horizon League), which has won three straight and seven of

After an evenly played first four and a half minutes of the contest, UW-Green
Bay got a layup from Aswan Minatee and three free throws to take a 14-9 lead
just under seven minutes into the game. However, Butler got a three-pointer
from Graves that spurred the Bulldogs on a 19-7 run, taking a 33-21 lead with
4:43 remaining in the opening half.
“The first few minutes were hard to stop either team,” Butler coach Todd
Lickliter said. “Green Bay is very skilled, hard to guard. We were able to get
a few stops and then able to execute a little bit and obviously extend it. Our
bench came in and did a terrific job.”
Butler continued its hot shooting from the field and took a 45-26 halftime
UW-Green Bay tried getting back into the contest early in the second half.
After a three-pointer by Ryan Tillema and jump shot by Evanochko cut the
Bulldogs lead to 45-31, Butler opened up a 65-47 advantage following a three-
pointer by Crone midway through the second half and never looked back.
Butler has won 20 of 25 games versus UW-Green Bay, including a three game
sweep last year…Tillema and Mike Schachtner each had eight
points apiece for the UW-Green Bay…Butler has won 19 straight contests at
