Top-ranked Gators crush Auburn

Auburn, AL (Sports Network) – Al Horford, Taurean Green and Lee Humphrey each
scored 17 points as the top-ranked Florida Gators rolled past the Auburn
Tigers, 91-66, at the Beard-Eaves Coliseum.

Corey Brewer added 11 points while Joakim Noah contributed eight points, seven
rebounds, four assists and three blocks for the Gators (19-2, 6-0 SEC), who
extended their winning streak to 12 games.

Quantez Robertson scored 17 points and Quan Prowell chipped in with 15 for the
Tigers (13-9, 3-4), who were coming off a rout of 12th-ranked Alabama on

Florida was all over Auburn from the start, as back-to-back Brewer jumpers
gave the Gators an early 8-2 lead. After a Robertson layup, Green hit a three
and Brewer followed with a layup that made it 12-4. Then, after a Prowell
layup, Chris Richard converted a conventional three-point play and Walter
Hodge followed with a trey to push Florida’s advantage to 18-6.

With just over a minute left in the half, Marreese Speights dropped in a layup
and hit 1-of-2 free throws to give the Gators a 51-36 lead at the break.

Game Notes

Rasheem Barrett scored 12 points for Auburn, while Josh Dollard posted 11
points and nine rebounds…Although Auburn leads the all-time series with
Florida 86-66, the Gators have won the last eight contests…It was the third
straight SEC West road win for Florida.
