UCLA crushes Oregon State

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Arron Afflalo scored 16 points on 7-9
shooting as fifth-ranked UCLA embarrassed Oregon State 82-35 at Pauley

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored 14 points on 6-6 shooting as UCLA (20-2, 9-2
Pac-10) shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field. Russell Westbrook chipped
in with 11 for UCLA, which has won six of its last seven games. Darren
Collison added eight points and 10 assists for the Bruins, who improved to
13-0 at home.

Marcel Jones scored 16 points and was the only player to score double digits
for Oregon State, (9-15, 1-10) which has lost six games in a row.

UCLA opened the game with an 11-2 run and never looked back. The Beavers
never got closer than 11-4.

Leading 31-15, the Bruins closed the half on a 17-3 run, highlighted by a
Ryan Wright alley-op dunk with 11 seconds left before intermission. Westbrook
scored eight consecutive points during the spurt.

The Bruins built a 48-18 half-time advantage and shot a sizzling 70 percent in
the half.

The outcome was never in doubt as UCLA continued to extend its lead throughout
the second half.

Game Notes

UCLA swept Oregon St. for the second straight season…Oregon State’s 18 first
half points was a season low.
