Afflalo leads No. 4 UCLA over Stanford

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Arron Afflalo poured in 20 points and
grabbed six rebounds as No. 4 UCLA trounced Stanford, 75-61.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute posted 11 points and grabbed seven boards for the
Bruins (25-3, 14-2 Pac-10), who clinched at least a share of the Pac-10 title
for the second straight season. Darren Collison added 10 points and dished
out six assists in the win.

UCLA, which shot 48 percent from the floor, closes out its season next week at
both Washington schools.

Brook Lopez scored 23 points on 11-of-16 shooting with nine rebounds for the
Cardinal (17-10, 9-7), who have dropped four of their last six games. Lawrence
Hill had 13 points in defeat. Stanford finishes out the season next week when
it hosts both Arizona schools.

UCLA led by as many as six during a close first half while Stanford tied it at
19 on Kenny Brown’s three-pointer with 9:06 left. Afflalo, though, responded
with one of his own to put the Bruins back up by three.

Late in the frame, UCLA held a 36-30 edge, but Hill hit a triple as the
Cardinal trailed by three at the half.

The Bruins opened the second with a 17-7 run — capped by Russell Westbrook’s
trey — for a 53-40 advantage with 14:31 to play. Stanford never got closer
than nine the rest of the way as UCLA cruised to victory.

Game Notes

Stanford, which won the first meeting 75-68 on January 28, still holds a
