Bonnies’ Solomon will not return next season

St. Bonaventure, NY (Sports Network) – St. Bonaventure University announced
Thursday that men’s basketball coach Anthony Solomon will not return next
season.

Solomon’s Bonnies finished this past season with an overall record of 7-22 and
a 4-12 mark in the Atlantic 10.

“We thank Anthony Solomon for his dedication and tireless work during a very
difficult period for our men’s basketball program and our University,” said
St. Bonaventure president Sr. Margaret Carney, O.S.F. “He placed a very strong
emphasis on integrity. We highly value his contributions in this regard, and
we wish Anthony all the best in the future.”

Solomon, who was hired in May 2003, compiled a 24-88 record during his tenure
at St. Bonaventure.

“I wish to express appreciation to the University for the opportunity to be a
part of this community for the past four years,” Solomon said. “I also want to
encourage the returning team members to remain committed to their future at
this fine institution. Finally, I extend special thanks to the alumni and
