Big second half lifts Washington State past Oral Roberts
Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) – Ivory Clark scored 19 points and pulled down
six rebounds, as Washington State used a huge second half to storm past Oral
Roberts, 70-54, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Taylor Rochestie finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists, and
Derrick Low chipped in with 12 points for the Cougars (26-7), who are seeded
third in the East Region and will take on the winner of the Vanderbilt/George
Washington matchup in Saturday’s second round.
Ken Tutt scored a team-high 19 points for Oral Roberts (23-11), which won the
Mid-Continent Tournament to earn its second straight NCAA Tournament bid.
Caleb Green finished with 13 points and eight boards for the Golden Eagles,
well below his season average of 20.8 points per game. Moses Ehambe also
donated 10 points in the loss.
