Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) – Roderick Wilmont scored 22 points and
grabbed seven rebounds, as familiar foes collided at ARCO Arena, with
the Indiana Hoosiers downing the Gonzaga Bulldogs, 70-57, in the first round
of the NCAA Tournament.

The seventh-seeded Hoosiers will now have to face second-seeded UCLA on
Saturday. The Bruins routed Weber State, 70-42, in the earlier matchup, in the
West bracket on Thursday.

D.J. White posted 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Hoosiers (21-10), who are
making their second consecutive appearance in the Big Dance and 34th overall
in school history. Earl Calloway netted 11 points for the Hoosiers.

David Pendergraft and Derek Raivio both scored 12 points for the Bulldogs
(23-11). Sean Mallon added 11 points for the Bulldogs, who, after falling to
Memphis back on February 17th, won their final five games of the season,
including a 77-68 victory over Santa Clara in the West Coast Conference
Tournament title game.
