Kemp leads Nevada over Creighton

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) – Marcelus Kemp scored 27 points and grabbed
12 rebounds, and the Nevada Wolfpack outlasted the Creighton Bluejays ,77-71,
in overtime in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Nevada advances to play second-seeded Memphis in the second round on Sunday.

Nick Fazekas finished with 17 points, 11 boards and four blocks for the
seventh-seeded Wolf Pack (29-4). Ramon Sessions scored 16 points and Kyle
Shiloh added 10 points and seven boards for Nevada.

Nate Funk led Creighton (22-11) with 23 points. Nick Porter finished with 15
points and eight rebounds, and Anthony Tolliver added 15 points and six
rebounds. Dane Watts grabbed 10 boards for the Bluejays.

A Tolliver layup cut the Wolf Pack lead to 74-71 with 11 seconds left, but
Kemp hit two free throws, and Sessions made a layup in the final seconds to
ice the game.
