Law, A&M edge Louisville to reach Sweet 16
Lexington, KY (Sports Network) – Acie Law IV poured in 26 points as Texas A&M
narrowly edged Louisville, 72-69, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament
at Rupp Arena.
Law finished 6-of-14 from the field and a sizzling 13-of-15 from the line,
while Dominique Kirk had 21 points and grabbed six rebounds for the third-
seeded Aggies (27-6), who will face either Memphis or Nevada in the Sweet 16
Edgar Sosa was stellar for the Cardinals (24-10), posting 31 points on 7-of-9
shooting and 15-of-17 from the charity stripe, but missed a long three in the
final seconds that could have sent the game to overtime. Terrence Williams
chipped in 17 points for Louisville, which entered the game a perfect 4-0
versus No. 3 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.
