BC’s Haynes to transfer

Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) – Marquez Haynes, a sophomore guard who
contributed off the bench to Boston College’s 21-12 team this past season,
will transfer to an undetermined school in hope of more playing time,
according to head coach Al Skinner.

Haynes averaged 3.1 points, 1.4 assists, and one rebound in 65 games over his
two seasons at BC, with three starts.

It was a tumultuous year for BC basketball, as forward Akida McLain and
center Sean Williams were both suspended early in the season, and then kicked
off the team for unspecified violations of team rules.
