Texas A&M’s Jones declares for NBA Draft
College Station, TX (Sports Network) – Texas A&M junior forward Joseph Jones
said Tuesday he has entered his name in the NBA Draft, but would not hire an
agent, keeping the door open for him to return for his senior season.
“I just want to test the water and see how I can compete against the best
players in the world,” Jones said.
Jones averaged 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season and led the
Aggies in free throw shooting at 78.1 percent.
“Joe and I have discussed entering his name in the draft many times,” A&M
coach Mark Turgeon said. “We have done our homework and we want to do
everything we can to help him pursue his dreams.”
