Delaware State’s Bright withdraws from draft

Dover, DE (Sports Network) – Delaware State guard/forward Roy Bright has
withdrawn his name from the 2007 NBA Draft.

Bright, who will be entering his senior season, finished tied with 2007 MEAC
Player of the Year Jahsha Bluntt as the Hornets leading scorer and rebounder
with a 15.5 scoring average and 4.9 rebounds per game. He was named to the
MEAC All-Tournament team and was selected to the All-MEAC second team.

“Roy tested the waters, but has decided to return for his final year of
collegiate competition,” said Delaware State head coach Greg Jackson. “We
welcome his return because he is definitely a strong competitor and he will
give us the needed leadership.”

Bright helped the Hornets to a 21-13 record and their third straight MEAC
regular season championship, which garnered them their third consecutive post
season appearance.
