Conan O’Brien at the ’95 All-Star Weekend

Given my fondness for obscure NBA facts, it pains me to discover that I’ve been overlooking a little nugget of gold for many years.  In the clip below, Conan O’Brien takes a camera crew to the 1995 All-Star Weekend festivities, running into an impressive line-up of future HOFers including a David Robinson in his prime, thin versions of Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal, a young Scottie Pippen, and John Stockton, who refuses to acknowledge the passage of time.  The most notable appearance for me, however, is that of shot-blocking humanitarian Dikembe Mutombo, who explains the origin of his name and, in doing so, adds a fantastic fun fact to my repertoire.  If you watch only one clip today, please let it be this.
