Buckeyes' Sylvester suspended one game

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Ohio State forward Matt Sylvester has been
suspended one game for an altercation with a fan following a game at Michigan
State on February 9.
The school levied the penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and will force Sylvester to sit out this Saturday's game at Minnesota. He also wrote a letter of apology to the fan. The Big Ten also reprimanded Sylvester, a junior who is averaging 7.3 points in 26 games for the Buckeyes (18-8, 7-5 Big Ten) this season. He scored a season-high 17 points in the first meeting with Minnesota on January 19. "Matt Sylvester's actions towards a fan at Michigan State are unacceptable and have no place in the sport of basketball or the Big Ten Conference," said Big Ten commissioner James E. Delany. "We support the written letter of apology and Ohio State's implementation of a one-game suspension." OHIOST
