Brian Butch added a season-high 27 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field for the Badgers (11-1), who have rattled off seven straight wins. Butch also added 11 boards while Kammron Taylor netted 14 points. Aaron Gray had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers (10-1), who suffered their first loss of the season. Pittsburgh also had its 21-game non-conference winning streak snapped. Ronald Ramon had 16 points and Mike Cook donated 14 points in the loss for the Panthers.

Speaking of Hansbrough, the All- American added 15 points and seven rebounds while Wayne Ellington also donated 15 points. Reyshawn Terry contributed 13 points for the Tar Heels (8-1), who stepped into competitive action for the first time since December 9 against High Point, when head coach Roy Williams won his 500th game. Bryan Smithson led the Bulldogs (4-6) with 20 points while James Vincent and K.J. Garland donated 11 points apiece. UNC-Asheville dropped to 0-44 against current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Greg Oden's presence made a large difference on the defensive end Saturday, as the freshman big man blocked five shots, altered countless more and grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with 14 points in fourth-ranked Ohio State's 72-50 thumping of Cincinnati in the nightcap of the Wooden Tradition. The signature event, which dates back to 2000, witnessed its most lopsided game in the brief history. The previous mark was the Bearcats' 79-59 trouncing of Purdue in 2004. Ivan Harris donated 13 points and Ron Lewis added 10 for Ohio State (9-1), which had a full week's rest for this matchup. It didn't look ahead to a much-anticipated bout with defending national champion Florida slated for next Saturday. John Williamson led Cincinnati (7-3) with 17 points and Jamual Warren added 13. Cincinnati shot just 18.8 percent from the floor in the first half, dooming its chances.

Alonzo Gee scored 20 points for Alabama (9-1), which had been idle since last Saturday when it rolled to a 92-58 romp over Alabama State. That triumph came just two days after the team's only loss of the season to a strong Notre Dame club. Richard Hendrix scored 11 points and Justin Tubbs added 10 in the victory. Sundiata Gaines had a great all-around game, with 21 points, eight rebounds, six steals and five assists for Georgia (7-1), which has won six in a row and was in action for the first time since crushing Gardner-Webb December 5th. Derek Raivio led Gonzaga (9-3) with 19 points, while Jeremy Pargo added 17. Josh Heytvelt finished with 15 points and seven boards for the Zags, who have dropped two of their last three contests.

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Justin Dentmon had 18 points to lead 17th- ranked Washington to a 105-73 victory over Portland State. Spencer Hawes and Quincy Pondexter each contributed 16 points for the Huskies (8-1), who shot 59.7 percent from the field. Dentmon also had a career-high nine rebounds. Ryan Appleby tallied 15 points for Washington, which came back from a 97-77 loss at Gonzaga last Saturday. Ryan Sommer scored 14 points and dished out six assists for the Vikings (7-4),who ended the game at 35.8 percent from the floor.

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Brandon Crone's three-point play with 59 seconds remaining gave the Bulldogs the lead, and Tarrance Crump's heave for a tie hit off the back iron as time ran out as 18th-ranked Butler bested Purdue, 68-65, at Conseco Fieldhouse in the first game of the Wooden Tradition. With the victory, the Bulldogs (11-1) added another major conference notch in their NCAA at-large belt. Butler won the Preseason NIT by knocking off Notre Dame, Indiana, Tennessee and Gonzaga in succession. A.J. Graves led the way with 25 points and Mike Green donated 18 points in the victory. The Bulldogs forced 19 turnovers, scoring 23 points off the miscues. Gordon Watt led Purdue (8-2) with 20 points and nine rebounds while Chris Kramer chipped in 12 points.

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Dominic James scored 17 points and dished out six assists to lead 20th-ranked Marquette over UMBC, 68-46, at the Bradley Center. Jerel McNeal netted 15 points, while Lazar Hayward came off the bench to contribute 13 points and seven rebounds for Marquette (10-2). After starting the season 8-0, the Golden Eagles had dropped two of their last three home contests, including a tough loss to seventh-ranked Wisconsin last weekend. Thomas Young contributed 17 points for UMBC (4-7), while Chris Pugh was the only other player in double figures for the Retrievers, scoring 15 points.

He came into the game averaging 16.6 ppg on 45.5 percent shooting from three-point range. Rob Kurz had a double-double, netting 16 points and grabbing 12 boards for Notre Dame (8-1), which has won seven straight since its lone defeat, a two- point setback against Butler. Paul Harris and Darryl Watkins each had 15 points and eight rebounds and Eric Devendorf added 11 points for the Orange (9-2), who have won two straight after dropping their previous two. Tweety Carter had a game-high 31 points and Curtis Jerrells added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Bears (6-3), who have lost two straight after a four-game winning streak.

Reno, NV (Sports Network) - Marcelus Kemp netted a game-high 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds as 25th-ranked Nevada edged Pacific, 60-53, at the Lawlor Events Center. Kemp drained 4-of-8 shots from long range in the game. Nick Fazekas added 13 points, 10 boards and three blocks for the Wolf Pack (9-1), who won their second straight game. Kyle Shiloh and Ramon Sessions also reached double figures with 11 points each. Steffan Johnson had 11 points for the Tigers (3-8), who lost their fifth straight contest. Solomon Horsechief and Anthony Brown had 10 apiece for Pacific.
