Derrick Low scored 13 points and Kyle Weaver and Daven Harmeling each contributed 12 for the Cougars (18-4, 7-3 Pac-10), who swept the season series with Arizona for the first time since 1983.

Chase Budinger scored a game-high 19 points while Mustafa Shakur had 13 for the slumping Wildcats (14-7, 5-5), who have dropped five of their last six, including a 92-64 blowout to North Carolina on Saturday, the worst home loss of the Lute Olson era.

After a Low three-pointer gave Washington State a 54-48 lead just under eight minutes into the second half, the Wildcats, led by Marcus Williams and Shakur, responded with a 9-2 run and took a 57-56 lead on Shakur's two free throws with 7:44 left in the game.

However, Harmeling's jumper put the Cougars back up for good as Washington State scored the next eight points to grab a 64-57 lead with 5:02 remaining.

Shakur's trey brought Arizona within 66-63 with 2:16 left in the game and after a Harmeling miss, the Wildcats had a chance to tie the game with another three-pointer.

Williams and Jawann McClellan both missed on shots from beyond the arc that would have evened the score, and Budinger was only able to hit 1-of-2 free throws to make it a two-point game with 47.5 seconds remaining.

Harmeling answered with a three on Washington State's next possession and after two Williams free throws made it 69-66 with 13.4 ticks left on the clock, Harmeling converted a three-point play to ice the game.

Down by a basket early, Ivan Radenovic and Budinger combined for nine straight Arizona points to give the Wildcats an 11-4 lead less than five minutes into the first half.

Washington State battled back to take the lead with a 9-1 run and a Chris Matthews three followed by a Derrick Low jumper gave the Cougars a 29-24 advantage with just under four minutes left in the half. Williams' tip-in basket with less than a second remaining cut Arizona's deficit to 36-33 at the break.

Williams finished with 12 points while Radenovic had 11 for the Wildcats...Despite two losses to Washington State this year, the Wildcats still own a 48-13 advantage in the all-time series.
