Shaq Spits Acid at Stan Van Gundy, Dwight Howard, Patrick Ewing

Shaq Spits Acid at Stan Van Gundy, Dwight Howard, Patrick EwingThis is a war of words, and I needn't add any more.  Read on to see what was said when Stan stepped up to Shaq and Shaq spat back.

Stan Van Gundy on Shaq flopping
I was shocked, seriously, shocked. And very disappointed cause he knows what it’s like. Lets stand up and play like men, and I think our guy did that tonight.

Shaquille O'Neal in response
He (Howard) came with the same old, stale Patrick Ewing move so I tried to stand there and take the charge. The new rules say if you come through, you fall. But as I fell, I realized that it was a flop and it reminded me of Coach Van Gundy’s whole coaching career. The one thing I despise is a frontrunner. First of all, none of his players like him. When it gets tough, he will become the master of panic like he did before and he will quit like he did before. The one thing I despise is frontrunners. Yeah, he’s got a young team playing good but don’t be a frontrunner. Him and his brother and even the legend on the bench ain’t done what I’ve done in my whole career. So flopping would be the wrong choice of words.

I just tried to take a charge. The fucking rules say you can’t stand there and get hit. You’ve got to fall.  He got the same old stinking move that Patrick Ewing has been doing his whole career. I went down, got up and didn’t complain. I see him and Stan complaining the whole game because they’ve got to. Remember, I’ve done more than him, his brother and Patrick Ewing.

Stan Van Gundy reminds me of a broke navigational system. He knows everything about everything but ain’t never been nowhere. Think about that. If I’m right here and I type in the address of where you’re going, I know where it’s at but I’m not going there.

When a bum says some shit about it and I respond, you can fucking cancel that cuz I know how he is in real life. We’ll see when the playoffs start and he fucking panics and quits like he did when he was here (in Miami). And you fucking print it just like that. Do I look soft to you like you can say something and I’m not going to say something?

Notice they didn’t play me straight up. We’ll see how far they go cuz I know Stan. I said this a long time ago but I was actually talking about him: 'When the general panics, the troops will panic. Like in business, when the head panics and takes out all his stock, what happens?
All the players hate him. The players don’t even like him. I hate frontrunners. I really do. I don’t like any frontrunners. There’s a pecking order involved. I’ve been there six times.

I ain’t going to let no bum like him rip me and not say anything back. You can cancel that shit all the way. Usually, I let shit go. Not that. Not him. Hell no.

The rules say when a guy goes through your chest you’ve got to fall to get the call. It was a flop. You’ve watched me play for 17 years. I don’t play like that.

I’m not going to sit around and let nobodies take a shot at me and he is a nobody to me. And if he thinks he can get in a little press conference and take shots at me like I’m not going to say something back, he’s got another thing coming.

Expect apologies, retractions and repercussions in the coming days.  Let us know what you think about Shaq's comments by leaving a message below.

Sorry, but shaq has been the hardest done by player in league history. If Howard flopped because of Shaq's size he would've got the call. I'm with Shaq on this one and I'm still pissed at him for leaving LA. One of the greatest players ever has been talked down. He has never complained about charges being called on him when players flopped against him all the time and now he cops this BS. He deserves better. More respect after the way he's been treated by officials for being simply unstoppable in his prime they had to control the beast by calling charges on him because he was simply stronger, tougher and quicker than other centres in the league..

Shaq sucks, never learned to shoot free throws and now an NBA vagabon, moving from one team to another to find his next ring. He is yesterday's supa hero. Fade off into the dusk HATA x 10. D Wade won his fourth for him Kobe is LEADING his team not second fiddle. Big Difference. Shaq can't carry Howard's jock strap. He's hated on every guard he's played with.

I think it's just publicity for the NBA. Shaq should be somewhere practicing on free throws that some teams may pick him up next season. Give me a break.L.J.

Well, all things considered--and thre is a great deal to consider!--I hope Shaq has some real dough after he retires from the NBA!Shaq's tirade--for that is what it is--against Howard and other players does not serve his legacy well. Players, even great ones, come and go. What's Shaq's exit strategy? To be a police officer or an NBA television analyst? The reality is: Shaq does not realize that it is time for him to go and let the young players in the league do their thing.Howard, as a center and as a players, has a great deal to learn. There is no question about that. But, given what you see in the NBA today, how many great centers exist?

Nothing new here. This guy has been full of bitter and hate to a lot of people around the league for a while now. Ranging from his rap dissing Kobe & Kareem to his statements of Benedict Arnold towards coach Jackson, to his spat towards Riley & the Heat Organization after he left, to his "RuPaul" comments directed at Bosh etc........ Dwight, Stan, and P-Ewing became the next 3 victims of his verbal stabbing. Watch out Phoenix (and/or Cleveland), you can easily be added into his list of notorious quotes. The guy knows (of course he won't admit) he's in the decaying stages of his career. But instead of keeping cool & collective, he's taking stride into cheap, classless verbal antics to vindicate himself in which some cheezy medias & fans find it amusing and entertaining. But in the run it's not going to do anything but sink his reputation. Not to mention his often lazy and inconsistent work ethic. What a shame for man with such great potential and talent. Had he put forth similar efforts to the likes of Kobe or LeBron, can anyone just imagine how he would have tore up the league with unimaginable statistical figures? To his credit, Shaq has performed many great feats in his life, the league, and the community. But at the end, does anyone really believe this guy would have won his 4 rings had it not been for Kobe or D-Wade? Some people love to pick on Kobe and lash out on him being immature? Of course Kobe was childish during his first couple of years in the league but how many players in the league aren't when they are only 18-22 years old? But as time progressed year by year he's demonstrated not only has he gotten better as a player, but as a respectable leader on a team and even more importantly as a better person. His maturity has far surpassed Shaq's which is such a pity for the 37-year old so-called diesel as his mindset is still stuck in quick sand and his endless mouth attacks on current/future stars, former teammates/coaches, former employer serve as his mode to extract vengeance instead of letting his play on the court do the talking. As they are glowing in glory over the week with their recent climb back to basketball's ultimate peak, certainly hope the Lakers would not be coaxed into Shaq's kiss-a** mode towards Kobe and the organization in luring him back to the squad as they have already painfully witnessed the dark side of this individual. It's all joy and peace in Lakerland right now and they don't need this classless douche bag to wreck their house again. As for Shaq being a TV analyst? Wouldn't be surprising if he becomes the Don Cherry of Basketball as a bitter old-school man full of sour grapes.
