Tim Duncan, Tony Parker & San Antonio Spurs Advance To Another NBA Finals

What Happened: The San Antonio Spurs were in a hurry to get back to the NBA finals.
The Spurs used an impressive first quarter run to defeat the Utah Jazz 109-84 in game five of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday evening at the AT&T Center.
There was no suspense in this game. San Antonio established a 23-point second quarter lead and Utah never recovered.
Tim Duncan had 21 points and seven rebounds. Tony Parker also had 21 points to go with five rebounds, and five assists. The Spurs also got a combined 45 points from their bench. After falling behind early, Utah never got on track.
The Jazz were led by Andrei Kirilenko’s 13 points. Deron Williams and Matt Harpring each had 11 points.
Despite the loss, Utah’s had a successful season, winning 51 games and the Midwest Division.
The Spurs have advanced to their fourth NBA finals in nine seasons. The finals begin next Thursday in San Antonio.
