Wednesday GM: Jermaine O’Neal For Richard Jefferson & Nenad Krstic or Lamar Odom & Andrew Bynum, Matt Barnes or Mickael Pietrus, & P.J. Brown or Chris Webber?

We spend all day debating the choices NBA GMs make. Most of us think we can do things better than the incompetent suit running things for our favorite team. Wednesday GM gives you the opportunity to make personnel decisions on some of the latest and biggest happenings in the NBA. In short, you replace the hack you hate sitting in the front office. Wednesday GM gives you the opportunity to make personnel decisions on some of the latest and biggest happenings in the NBA. In short, you replace the hack you hate sitting in the front office.

So settle into your new gig as GM and tell us what you would do in the comment box below.

Decision 1: Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic or Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum?

The Details: While hanging out at Paul Pierce and Baron Davis’ charity game in L.A., O’Neal told the local media he was interested in getting dealt to the Lakers. Larry-legend, the Pacers’ front-office executive, heard his power forward’s quote two days later and sounded interested in trading O’Neal, too:

"In response to Jermaine O’Neal’s published comments today regarding a trade, we have stated repeatedly that if we can make our team better through a trade, we will do so. Jermaine has become an All-Star player with the Indiana Pacers and in any discussions regarding him or any of our other players, the expectations for the franchise and our fans is to receive fair market value in return if a trade is to be considered.”

"Jermaine has worked out very hard this summer while rehabilitating his knee after surgery. We believe under Jim O’Brien that our team as a whole and Jermaine as a player can be successful. You never know what will happen, but for now Jermaine is an Indiana Pacer."

and Los Angeles are the front-runners to acquire O’Neal’s services. The Nets are offering and , while the Lakers are apparently offering and .

Each trade proposal includes a star and developing player. The deal can be broken down to Jefferson versus Odom and Krstic versus Bynum. I think Jefferson and Odom is close, while Bynum has more upside and potential than Krstic.

The Call: Remember, you’re Larry Bird. Do you trade O’Neal for Jefferson and Krstic or Odom and Bynum?

Decision 2: or ?

NBA GM: Chris Mullin, Golden State Warriors.

The Details: Mullin just signed The Mohawk and The Frenchman each to one year deals. These two swings have similar games and there aren’t enough minutes for both of them. Something has to give.

The Call: Should the Warriors keep Barnes’ tenacity or Pietrus’ athleticism? Who should Mullin trade?

Decision 3: P.J. Brown or Chris Webber?

NBA GM: Donnie Nelson, .

The Details: The Mavs are looking to add a veteran post. Brown and Webber are both experienced, but that’s where the similarities end. Brown is a lunch-pail defender, while Webber is all finesse, making his living off setting-up teammates and nailing open shots.

The Call: Does Dallas need Brown’s blue-collar defense or Webber’s offensive game?
