Today, I have been reading internet stories and listening to radio shows about Team USA’s ‘disappointing’ 27 point win over Mexico last night. Tough crowd, huh?

Most sports journalists, myself included, admitted to over-dissecting Stars and Stripes’ victory, looking for any possible chink in the American armor.

As you can see, Monday’s game had plenty of impressive plays. Two highlights stand out. First, the Kobe Bryant tomahawk was spectacular. Bryant’s weight loss and diet have made him even more explosive. Second, Amare Stoudemire, another trimmed-down superstar, connected on an amazing three-point play.

Team USA takes on Puerto Rico tonight.
