#5: East No Longer Least.

The Junior Varsity Conference. The diet NBA. The L.A. Gear of The Association. Recently, the Eastern Conference has heard it all, taking their share of hits. But an infusion of talent from the west has changed things. Look for the Eastern Conference to be more competitive in 2007-08.

#3: Dream Team Flashbacks In Vegas.

‘Melo, , and Kobe Bean led Team USA to gold at the FIBA Americas Qualifying Tournament. But winning wasn’t enough. Team USA sent a message, showing the world they can still dominate international competitions. Next year’s Olympics should be something to see.

#2: Kobe Bryant’s Future In L.A.

In May, had loose lips, publicly flip-flopping on his trade requests. Now he isn’t speaking on his future with the Lakers. This story is just getting started.

#1: Tim Donaghy Scandal.
