The on-court transition has been easy for Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Jesus Shuttlesworth and The Big Ticket already resemble Celtic-lifers, giving the storied green-and-white some of their old school flare.

The off-court transition has taken a minute, though. Garnett publicly stated that leaving family and friends in Minnesota would be difficult. After the blockbuster trade, welcomed KG with a standing ovation at historic Fenway Park …

Three months later, the exhibition season is winding down. Celtic fans will be relieved to know their newest superstars are somehow settling in:

That the Celtics [team stats]’ two new superstars, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, have set up house in the ’burbs. Kevin bought a five-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot manse in Concord for something in the neighborhood of $4.6 million. Nice neighborhood! Meanwhile, Ray is repairing to SWellesley and 11,000-square-foot digs on an acre and a half. The $4.5 million manse has 15 rooms, nine baths and a “grand marble foyer.” Can you say “Swish???”  (The Boston Herald)

Celtic fans are hoping Garnett and Allen’s new homes have a fireplace or glass case to display the NBA’s Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
