Kevin Durant’s makes his regular season debut tonight and fans finally get to watch his explosive game take flight. Durant, the pre-season favorite for rookie of the year and second overall pick in the 2006-07 draft, is expected to be The Guy on a bad Seattle team. But Durant is battling a bad ankle and will have to contend with superstars Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson and the up-and-coming Nuggets …

 … Yesterday, I made an appearance on Game Points, a Montreal sports radio show. Another analyst and I agreed that Jeff Green, Seattle’s other hi-profile rookie, could develop into a very nice player. We both like his size, athleticism, and work ethic. But like Durant, Green is injured and is a game-time decision. Hopefully, both first year players suit-up.
