Can Jamario Moon Beat Dwight Howard, Sean Williams, & Nick Young To Win Slam Dunk Contest?The AM Take: A full moon could shine over All-Star weekend in New Orleans. I’m not referring to vampires, ghosts or monsters (although Hornets’ owner George Shinn is a dubious character) ruling the day in some Thriller sequel, but rather Toronto’s Jamario Moon.

Moon is Cinderella, Rocky Balboa, and Rudy all rolled in one; a 27 year old rookie who took the Mario Elie scenic route to the NBA.

The ultra-athletic swing will ball in the rookie-sophomore game. However, the real hype surrounds Moon’s participation in the Slam Dunk contest.

CNNSI’s Drew Packham believes Dwight Howard, Sean Williams and Nick Young will also be named to the Slam Dunk Contest. Each can fly; the competition will be tight. Here’s a quick preview:

Howard should have received more love for his slept-on, sticker-jam.  Yeah, the judges should take another look at where the big is pointing. 

Williams is a high-flying, pogo-stick for the New Jersey Nets. And Young cemented his rep for aerial antics at USC.
