The Best Big Man Dunker Ever: Shawn Kemp or Dwight Howard?

The Best Big Man Dunker Ever: Shawn Kemp or Dwight Howard? The AM Take: On Friday afternoon, I cracked a cold one, flicked on the television, and got hit with a mid-nineties flashback. My guys, Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, had taken over Fox’s The Best Damn Sports Show.

It got me thinking. Not long ago, the Sonics were more than a toy for some evil suits from Oklahoma City. Led by The Glove and Reign Man, Seattle was a dominant western power, even pushing Jordan’s classic Chicago side to six games during the 1996 NBA Finals.

Payton and Kemp were also joined on-air by former coach George Karl. Together, the three reminisced on their time in the Emerald City. The entire show was intriguing, but the highlight was Kemp claiming he’s the best big man dunker of all time -better than current Slam Dunk champ Dwight Howard.

Looking at his highlights, he could be right. Notice I said could be. Of course, HoopsVibe The Blog had to settle the title of best big man dunker with a Kemp-Howard head-to-head.

Option One: Shawn Kemp aka The Reign Man …

Option Two: Dwight Howard aka ‘Supaman’ …

Kemp or Howard? Who gets your vote for best big man dunker of all time? Get at us in the comment box below with your thoughts and click here to subscribe to Oly Sandor’s NBA Blog.
